I am so in love with delicate gold jewelry right now, particularly the stacks of thin gold bands mixed with other metals and worn on every finger or knuckle. While jewelry overkill can look really tacky, using these tiny gold pieces negates that and brings some class to the whole look. Lots of gold jewelry might look like you just robbed a pawn shop, but lots of delicate gold jewelry looks… well, magical.
When wearing these pieces, it’s important to match them to your overall look. Tiny gold accents would get lost in a sea of chunkier jewelry, so make sure that they remain the focus here.
Mixing metals is great, though you may want to create a theme and stick to it – say, beach-inspired, hearts and stars, simple bands of different textures, etc., in order to tie everything together.
Above-the-knuckle rings, or midi rings, are also a lovely option right now for these delicate little rings. A big statement ring might look awkward and top-heavy on your fingertip, but a little flash of gold can look just right. If you’re going to go with these, you might consider purchasing a cheap ring from something like Forever 21 or Claire’s before committing to a quality piece since these rings have a tendency to fall off and are not for everyone.
I want to call this look “finger parties” as they remind me of arm parties (but, you know, on your fingers) but finger parties sounds… off… to me somehow. In any case, I’m crazy for the look right now. Here are some of my favorite examples:
