Final Verdict: Can I get a YAYmen? There are a ton of (very good) ways to apply foundation: a beauty blender sponge, foundation brush, and one’s own hands come to mind. Because of this, I didn’t think that I really needed another way to apply foundation, but I heard so many raves about this brush that I had to try it. I really like Samantha Chapman and the Pixiwoo tutorials on YouTube, so I had a lot of confidence in this product. I haven’t seen it in any brick and mortar stores (though, to be honest, I haven’t looked for it) but it was easily ordered from Amazon for a great price. The super soft, dense bristles pick up and distribute foundation easily, and I find that they buff the makeup into the skin rather than smooth it onto the surface, like my other foundation brushes do. This is almost like a kabuki brush more than the kind of foundation brushes I’m used to, and I freaking love the way it performs. My makeup is so well-blended and natural after I use this that it’s become my favorite way to apply my makeup. I’m also majorly impressed with the lack of shedding. If I had bought this at MAC or Chanel, I would have expected to pay $50+ for it. For under $15, it’s damn near miraculous.
